work on wood

Part two of the what’ll be up on the walls for the Culture Crawl on the 26-28th of this month.  These pieces, completed mostly within the last year, are on (or, in) wood with the wood grain being an integral part of the process and the end product. Some are more drawings than painting, some house grouping of drawings on vellum, some are quite large ( like ‘threnody 83′, below, which is 3′ x 7’) and others are on the smaller side. The thing they have in common is the wood factor, and given that I have an extra 13 feet of wall since moving my office area, I thought I would see  how they show together. Here is a sampling of this body of work.
